The Society of Risk Management Consultants (SRMC) is pleased to announce the election of Mr. James R. Mahurin to the position of President.  Since 1984, Mr. Mahurin has been sole proprietor of a risk management and insurance consulting firm in Franklin, TN.  He serves a diverse clientele including public entities, colleges, mining, pollution remediation, destination resorts, contractors, hospitals, and financial institutions.  Approximately fifty percent of Mr. Mahurin’s practice is devoted to litigation support and expert witness services.

Mr. Mahurin earned a bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University, and holds two professional designations – Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM).  He is past president of CPCU chapters in two states, served on the board of SRMC twice, as well as numerous community service boards.
