WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM A MEMBER OF THE SOCIETY OF RISK MANAGEMENT CONSULTANTS

A MEMBER OF THE SOCIETY OF RISK MANAGEMENT CONSULTANTS IS YOUR OBJECTIVE ADVOCATE AND PARTNER IN MANAGING YOUR INSURANCE AND RISK MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

Risk management consulting as a profession has evolved from a need for independent, objective counsel on insurance and risk management programs. Only those practitioners who have chosen to abide by its standards of education, experience, professionalism and code of ethics are members of the Society of Risk Management Consultants. When selecting a consultant who is a member of the Society of Risk Management Consultants, you can expect:

OBJECTIVITY

Members believe they can serve only one party: the client. They have no economic interest in the solutions they recommend.

INDEPENDENCE

Membership in the Society is restricted to consultants who do not sell insurance or have material or influential interests in any insurer, agency, broker or other entity engaged in the sale of insurance to the public.

EXPERIENCE

Members have experience in addressing the needs of a wide range of industries and must meet certain experience requirements in order to qualify for membership.

EXPERTISE

Members are experts in insurance contract wording and insurance provisions in any other types of contracts and leases. They are also skilled in managing risk outside traditional risk financing mechanisms, and in utilizing various risk transfer and risk control methods.

PARTNERSHIP

Members customarily work with the chief financial officer or risk manager within an organization, as well as an organization's risk-related service providers.
